Anxiety

After many weeks of stress, frustration, and anxiety...I finally sent out the I-129F yesterday afternoon.

Over sixty pages of forms, receipts, boarding passes, private conversations, and pictures... and I still feel like it isn't enough. Ugh. I'm going to be so anxious until I hear anything back. I don't want an RFE. I want my fiancé here so we can get married in August.

We had plenty to choose from and look through. I scanned every single page. I made sure there were no errors (well, to the best of my ability). I put tags on the bottom and placed post-it notes on things. I took the day off from work just so I can complete everything (which took me eleven hours!!).  I just hope it goes smoothly and quickly.

Eep.

Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! I feel like I haven't posted since last year. Time sure does fly!

In all seriousness, it's been nearly two months since I've posted. Since then, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all happened. I've been super busy with my job as an ops lead since October--it felt like I barely got to celebrate all the holidays. :c But I worked with what I could. As a recap...

Thanksgiving was lovely. We didn't get to celebrate until the Sunday following that Thursday. We got our Christmas tree that weekend and had family over. I was in a food coma! Mostly due to the desserts... My watergate salad was the hit of the party. I felt pretty good about myself!

December rolled on in and I decorated the entire house, made my famous sandtarts, tried out a few other recipes and found some new favorites. I wrapped plenty of gifts, tried out new crafts, and finally got to relax with my family the week leading up to Christmas. I got some very wonderful, thoughtful gifts. Then my birthday came! I love getting to celebrate my birthday with the people I love. It's not always easy having a birthday on Christmas Day, but I wouldn't change anything about it!

New Year's Eve was actually super fun, despite being home alone [technically]. I spent the day watching my favorite show, The Twilight Zone, and then spent the evening in front of the computer with my fiancé! We played so many games and it was special to ring in the new year with someone who means so much to me. ♥

Well, since it's now 2016, I can officially say I'm getting married this YEAR. Hoping the visa process goes smoothly... but if it does, we will be getting married this August. :] I get to marry my best friend! We have so many things we want to do together and I can't wait to become a Sharp and spend the rest of my life with him. Last year treated us both so well, so I know this year is going to bring so many incredible memories. :)

I'm going to try to blog a bit more, especially when it comes to the whole longdistancefiancévisahimmovinghere kind of thing. I think it might help to write about it.

Anyway, I hope you all have a wonderful, blessed new year!

Hey everybody! Long time no see, heh?

I have decided that this blog will probably be dedicated to wedding planning and the visa process that we'll be going through! At least until we're done with it.

There's so much that needs to be done in a short amount of time, and I really feel like others can benefit from what we're going through. The visa process is lengthy and you need to be really patient for it. I'm just waiting for my fiancé from the United Kingdom to send me some stuff before I begin!

We've decided on a few wedding things already. It'll be held in my backyard and it'll be slightly Lord of the Rings/Hobbit themed. I'm really excited. :)

Hope you're all doing well!

16. 15. 13.

Sixteen days, fifteen hours, thirteen minutes.

That's the moment that my boyfriend steps off the plane. That's the moment that my summer will begin. That's the moment that I've been waiting nearly six months for... and that's the moment that I fall in love all over again.

We're going to spend a wonderful eighty eight days together. The entire summer, essentially. Fourth of July, fishing, antique shops, Florida, mini-golfing, afternoon movies, long walks, late night diner visits, jigsaw puzzles, slushies, flea markets, Roku-watching, amusement parks, fireworks, breakfast in bed... all that and more is on our summer to-do list. I can't wait.

Since he last left in January, the last several months have been filled with good morning texts, mystery gifts, long Skype calls, watching movies together, and falling asleep while giggling. Though my boyfriend is over 3,430 miles away, we make it work. I feel so incredibly love, moreso each and every day.

I would love to have him close by. I'd love to wake up next to him every single day, but I know that it's going to take a bit longer than I'd like. We're looking into getting his visa so he can move here within the next year or so. I know it'll all be worth the wait.

Until then, it's those lovely Facebook messages, those tweets to each other, and those nights where we watch movies together and fall asleep with our headsets on. But hey, at least I have the summer to look forward to. ♥

Relief

I left my job yesterday.

Well, at least one of them. I'm thrilled. I feel relieved. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my body.

Now, time to start concentrating on myself and my future. I was saving up for my handsome boyfriend to visit this summer, but since he got a job, I don't feel so stressed. I know he'll be coming and I can't wait. Only 65 days!

In the meantime, I am going to binge watch a lot of television shows. I am going to read. I am going to take baths and photographs. I am going to play video games and relax. Why? Because I can. That job was weighing me down and the entire atmosphere of the place felt unprofessional and depressing. Sure, it was relatively easy work, but it wasn't making me happy. So fuck that.

I really would love to start my own etsy shop... but I'm just not sure what yet. I guess we'll see!

Let's Catch Up

Hey guys! Been awhile.

As I explained on my other blog, I've been pretty busy with... life. In mid-February, I got a new job on top of my other one and that's been keeping me busy. I've been spending some great time with my boyfriend, getting really into Pinterest again, watching some of my favorite shows and movies (as well as new ones), and just overall enjoying life!

With the extra money I've been earning through my new job, I've been saving up to get my boyfriend here. He just got a new job, too. So hopefully it'll all work out! I finally feel like everything is falling into place and I'm really excited for the next two years.

Along with saving up for him to arrive, I've been buying myself a few things here and there that I've been putting off getting! I bought my first maxi skirt, but that soon turned into four. I am in love. I also finally decided to expand my t-shirt collection thanks to Out of Print Clothing. I've gotten myself two t-shirts during their $20 t-shirt sale. Normally $28, I thought it was worth it, considering I got 20% off on top of that! They should be arriving sometime next week. I'm really stoked. :) I'm planning on getting a few totes and pouches in the next coming months from them. I think they'll look great with my maxi skirts! I also got a free pair of sandals thanks to Keep. They arrived today and are great.

On a more... work related note. My day at work yesterday started off pretty great. Fantastic, actually. But about six hours in, things happened. I'm nervous and worried... sick in the stomach just thinking about it. I really hope all turns out well. It was an honest error, but I'm not sure how people will feel about it. Sigh. I'm trying not to let it get me down and hoping it all works out.

So that's my life within the last two months. Hope all is well. ♥

A Small Update!

Hey everyone! It's been awhile.

I haven't posted in this since 2013, but I felt like blogging again. I think I am going to go in a different direction with this one... maybe. We'll see. :P

Over the last year, so much has happened. I began a relationship with a boy in the United Kingdom and we met in person for the first time back in November! He's wonderful and I'm so happy we got together. ♥ I also started playing League of Legends casually about a year ago, but I play it as often as possible in my free time and really enjoy it. I have been catching a lot of shows--whether for the first time or one hundredth. I've actually been binging on several shows at once and it's hard to keep track of em' all. I've also gotten back into watching movies often (as noted by my other blog) and I started to really get into sewing! If only I had more material to practice with. Oh yeah, and I started relearning German through DuoLingo.

Anyway, back to television shows. I've started my huge rewatch of "Gilmore Girls". I used to catch it on ABC Family back when I was in high school, but I would only watch it for a bit before changing channels. It's surprising to see how many episodes I've actually seen and can remember. I'm also rewatching all of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" with my boyfriend. I've seen them all, he has never seen them. But we're finally up to the final season! Getting close. After we watch that together, he wants to go back to "Doctor Who," a show I haven't really seen at all. It should be exciting. And I can't forget that "House of Cards" is returning at the end of this month. I love Kevin Spacey so much.

I guess I'll end it here for now. Just wanted to update! Hope whoever is reading this is doing well. :)
